Josh White is in his fourth year with the Miami Hurricanes athletics communications office and second as associate director / athletics communications.

White serves as the primary communications contact and social media manager for the four-time national champion Miami Hurricanes baseball team.

The Port Washington, N.Y., native is responsible for the day-to-day promotion of student-athletes and coaches, content on MiamiHurricanes.com and social media, preparation of game notes and media guides, along with the update of statistics and records for his assigned sports.

He is also the secondary contact for the five-time national champion Miami Hurricanes football team. Previously, he served as the soccer contact for three seasons.

Additionally, White broadcasts select games on ACC Network Extra.

Prior to joining the Miami athletics communications office full-time, he worked as the play-by-play broadcaster and media relations director of the Appalachian League’s Kingsport Axmen and the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League’s Orleans Firebirds.

White is a two-time graduate of The U, earning his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism in 2020 and a master’s in business administration in 2022.

He was tapped into Iron Arrow Honor Society — the highest honor attained at the University of Miami — and served as chair of the esteemed organization during the 2020-21 academic year.

During his undergraduate career, White was the general manager of WVUM 90.5 FM and lead student play-by-play voice of Hurricanes football, soccer, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball. He also served as the sports editor of The Miami Hurricane and anchored UMTV’s “SportsDesk.”

In his final semester, White interned in the athletics communications office and was largely responsible for a baseball feature series published on miamihurricanes.com.

His storytelling has garnered numerous awards from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Associated Press, National Broadcasting Society, Broadcast Education Association and Society of Professional Journalists.
